Flinders Sourdough Bakery
Located in the seaside town of Flinders, the historic bakery was restored in 2011 by winemakers turned sourdough bakers, Margaret and David.
Crafting artisan breads using traditional baking methods, the iconic bakery is well known for its original Flinders wood-fired scotch oven and 1940's twin-arm dough mixer that replicate bakers' hands.
Tucked away from the main road, the Flinders Sourdough team delivers Australian organic sourdough and a range of seasonal treats with a smile.
Meet The Team
Margaret & David discovered their love of baking sourdough at home, appreciating the taste and nutritional benefits over commercially yeasted bread. Using their knowledge of fermentation from their days as winemakers, they started Flinders Sourdough in 2011 using only Victorian organic ingredients. Focusing on quality over ease of production, they continue to use traditional and unhurried methods of baking to create authentic sourdough.
